Lyrics

The banners of war rise again above a square reclaimed by joy.

The bells are ringing through the square,
Bright ribbons dancing in the air.
The drums no longer call to war,
They call for joy forevermore.

The market wakes with songs once gone,
The children laugh beneath the dawn.
Old banners wave above the crowd,
No king, no battle, only proud.

The scars remain upon each face,
Yet none are hidden here today.
The wine is poured, the fiddles play,
And fear begins to fade away.

Lay your sword beside the fire.
Leave behind the old desire.
What we lost...
We’ll never hide.
But not tonight.

We’re dancing under banners high,
No more hatred, no goodbye.
Hand in hand beneath the sky,
Let the silent years pass by.

Raise your voice and raise your light,
We survived the darkest night.
Once we met with steel and flame,
Now we dance without a name.

I knew your eyes across the field,
The one who never chose to yield.
Today they shine without the rage
That wrote our names on history’s page.

You held your hand...
I took it slow.
No one spoke of long ago.
Only violins replied,
While all the village turned and smiled.

May our children never know
How cold the winter winds can blow.
Let every banner proudly wave
Above the hearts we chose to save.

We’re dancing under banners high,
No more hatred, no goodbye.
Every step rewrites the years,
Far beyond our blood and tears.

Raise your voice and raise your light,
Hope has won this simple fight.
Where the drums once summoned war,
They call us home forevermore.
