Before the stages and the banners, there was a timber room at the edge of a small Finnish village.

Winter had folded Rautavaara into silence. Snow stood high against the windows, the roads vanished before nightfall, and an old community hall became the only place where five musicians could make enough noise to answer the dark.

Hans and Chuck brought fragments of guitar melodies that seemed to rise from the frozen forest. Bob gave them weight, a low current beneath the ice. Dorn turned an ageing drum kit into distant thunder. Then Ana stepped to the microphone, and the room found its voice.

One night, the power failed during rehearsal. With only the glow of the wood stove and a few candles, they kept playing - quietly at first, then with everything they had. By the time electricity returned, a pale line of morning had appeared beyond the pines. In that cold first light, Nocelis Dawn was born.

The songs that followed carried the village with them: long winters, stubborn hope, stories remembered beside the fire, and the belief that ruin is never the end. Those first sessions became the foundation of Born from Ashes - music made to cross the distance between darkness and dawn.
